The world of performance cars is buzzing after Toyota unveiled its newest creation, the GR GT. Promising breathtaking speed and engineering excellence, the car is projected to launch around 2027.
The first prototype offers a dramatic glimpse of what Toyota envisions for its next flagship supercar. Its road-legal racing design hints at a machine built for serious drivers.
At the heart of the GR GT is a hybrid powerhouse: a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine paired with an electric motor. Toyota expects more than 650 horsepower, translating into a top speed above 320 kph.
Beyond its performance numbers, the car’s low stance and track-inspired proportions connect it to Toyota’s heritage. From the 2000GT of the 1960s to the modern Lexus LFA, the company has long influenced performance culture.
During the unveiling, Toyota also showcased the GR GT3 and the electric LFA Concept—two models that hint at a rapidly evolving performance future.
